IRON MAN was one of my favorite comics, and I'm a little disappointed with the advertisement I just saw. The cast doesn't make sense to me - Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man (Tony Stark)? And Gwyneth Paltrow is cast as well - while I think she's a great actress I just don't feel she has anything to do with comic books.
Maybe this is the production company strategy to reach a broader audience than the comic book fans.

Generally speaking I think Robert Downey Jr. is a good actor, but I've never read the Iron Man comics so I'm not sure how true to the source material his portrayal will be. And I've never really been a big Gwyneth Paltrow fan. The special effects look top notch, but all in all I think the movie looks a little cheesy.
