Games that should be movies

Well its glaringly obvious that there's no shortage of crappy movies based on good games in Hollywood. The list is endless. Everything from the Mario Brothers to Doom has been butchered by money hungry movie execs. I do believe however, that the gaming industry has produced plenty of original ideas worthy of translation to the big screen. All they need to do is bring in talent that has respect for the source material, while also bringing in the necessary ideas to making a big screen adaption possible. These following games could make great movies if handled properly.

Bioshock - I really hope somebody picks this up for a movie adaptation. Bioshock has so much potential to become a great movie. It has a really unique story, great atmosphere and a phenomenal visual style. The game reminds me of an episode of Leave it to Beaver gone to hell.

Final Fantasy 7 - This game has a rabid fan base. Not so much because of the gameplay, but more so because of the epic storyline and developed characters. I know that this game holds a place in many gamers hearts.

Manhunt - This is such a grim, dark and morbid game. It just has such a pitch black tone to it. It in a sense kind of reminds me of hostel, but this came out before the whole "torture porn" thing became popular in games and movies. If you took Saw, Hostel, and the Most Dangerous Game and threw them all together you'd get something like this.
